RELEASE NO. 10 // WE COME IN PEACE
May 10, 2021
Greetings, earthlings.
Do aliens exist? Have you ever seen a UFO? Better yet, do you BELIEVE? For some of you, it may be a quick “yes” or “no”. For others, it may depend on how many beers you’ve had. We’re not judging. All we know for sure, is after the year we’ve had, we’re ready for whatever the universe throws at us next. At this point it’s not too wild to imagine that aliens could invade, or make peaceful contact – right? I mean how rad would it be if we could share our talents and learn from each other? And we know exactly what we’d share first - our proudest achievement, some may say humanity’s greatest achievement – BEER.
For this release, our team was laser-focused in creating out-of-this-world brews for you to enjoy... and if we ever do make contact with aliens, this kit will be our peace offering. Brace yourselves and open your minds (and tastebuds), it’s with great pride and excitement that we introduce…
LDBC Release No. 10 // We Come In Peace
It’s a bird! It’s a plane, no wait it’s a… Unidentified Flying Olde Ale, an English-style old ale by our friends at Angel City Brewery in Los Angeles, CA. Their task is to expose an obscure English-style with a full-bodied mouth feel, and hints of caramel and chocolate. We knew right away that we had to share this galactic creation with you. One sip, and you’ll be a believer.
Next, we bring you Space Fuel – a mouthwatering hazy IPA. The team at Green Flash Brewing in San Diego, CA set out on a mission to discover a beer that would appeal to the entire universe (humans, droids and martians included). They landed on this golden yellow brew, with notes of apricot, peach, mixed citrus, melon and vanilla.
Remember when “Storm Area 51” went viral? This brew is what they were trying to keep under wraps. Our last beer, from Buckledown Brewing in Lyons, IL, features new-school hops called Sabro and Belma. For this release, they created a crisp, American pale ale called Creature Feature, a straw-colored beer with tropical aromatics and a light malt taste.
Turns out the aliens are just here for the beer. They’ve found something particularly delicious in the combination of a light, refreshing gose with the tartness of raspberries, pink Himalayan salt and ground coriander. They beamed up most of the stock, but we saved enough cases for your kits, of course. We give you, Raspberry Gose to Space by Saint Archer Brewing Company in San Diego, CA.
We hope these brews transport you to a galaxy far, far away. Establish contact and tag us in any pics you take of your new kit. Our team loves to see them out in the universe. As always, we thank you for supporting our club and we can’t wait to hear what you think!
